Calendar ORATIO LIGNO EXPRESSA
The most exclusive calendar offered by Excellens Paper company. It contains original graphic sheets with Silesian sacral buildings. Limited edition of 100 numbered pieces. Four signed graphic sheets.
Calendar as well as the graphic sheets are printed on stiff handmade paper, weight of paper 240/m2, format 297x520 mm.
The individual sheets are mechanically bound together and attached on original wooden clapboard from 1945. Texts are in Czech and Latin.
Distribution of this unique calendar will begin on September 9, 2007. It is already possible to make a binding order of prints from no. 16 till no. 99.
The graphic sheets are made by Jiri Neuwirt.
Jiri Neuwirt
Graphic artist, painter and illustrator
He was born on February 27, 1948 in Ostrava. From 1963 to 1967 he studied in Brno. He was taught by Frantisek Schenk and Frantisek Navratil.
After graduating he was primarily interested in art smithing and making medals.
Gradually he started to concentrate more on graphic art. He deals with applied graphic art as well as with fine graphic art.
Because of his interest in literature he started to illustrate and design books. At the same time he was producing ex-libris for which he received several international awards.
Currently he concentrates primarily on graphic art and painting.
He is a member of Group 4 located in Ostrava and of The New Thing Collective. He works as a pedagogue at the Department of Graphic Art in Secondary Art School in Ostrava.
He realized 18 solo exhibitions and took part in many salons. He also works as a curator in Gallery At The Centre Of The City.
This calendar is suitable as an elegant part of business PR. It can also be a gift for significant family anniversaries. All lovers of artefacts will undoubtedly appreciate it.
Stiff handmade paper is made with the traditional handmade technique which has been used since 1596.
